LV-SF-SeaTown-Portland-Home

What a f#$%# week!

Started off last Friday with a dinner/wine party at my house and got smashed from an almost criminal mix of tequila, rum, and wine. TL and NgoFro came over around 2AM and we chilled and drank until around 4AM and headed off to Vegas for DH's birthday. Would go more in detail about Vegas; however, I blacked out half the time and slept the other. Stayed in Vegas for about 24 hours and headed back home. Got home and had to pack for a week trip of work. Stayed 2 days in SF then headed off to SeaTown for 2 days then Portland for 2 days. (Exhausting) SF was SF; nothing too special. We caught "The Rock of Ages," which I thought was cool. A lot of 80's rock music.  While we were in SeaTown, we met up with TL, JLee and her sister, JNghi, and JLao. Had a few drinks and chatted up. Good times for sure. Pretty much talked about the same things we always do, but in a different state. The last 2 days were in Portland, which was my first time there. I would have to say that it's a tight city. We stayed at The Nines Hotel in Downtown Portland, which was recommended by JLao; good call. A very hip hotel where the Lakers were staying at too. Saw Phil Jackson when I was checking in and he walked by and we gave each other a high five! The city of Portland has to be my new favorite city; this is the cleanest Downtown I've seen. I would definitely come back and visit. I also caught the Lakers game at the end. Now home and it feels great! Enjoy some pics, The End!

Grub x Illest x Grub

So JN and I finally had a day off from work decided to make a trip out to LA with a few stops. The first stop as was at Famous Dave's BBQ out in Rancho. Passed by this place a few times and was always curious. Went in and this placed smelled Dank! The decor was really cool. All the hardware were made out of iron pipes. We started off tasting their BBQ sauces which were; Rich & Sassy, Georgia Mustard, Texas Pit, and Sweet & Zesty, which all of them were good. JN ordered the Georgia Chopped Pork and I ordered the St. Louis Rib-N-Meat BBQ Combo. Every time I eat ribs, I compare it to two places/chef, Phil's BBQ in SD and HP's BBQ ribs at my apt in Pasadena.

After Famous Dave's BBQ, we went to Downtown LA so JN can get some stuff. Straight BT for me! After that we went to ILLEST in JTown. Been wanting to go to this store for a while, but never had the time. Simple boutique, with 15 t-shirts, 5 sweaters, etc.. Got myself some gear of course.

Walking around in JTown we ran into my friends Helen and James and chatted up with them for a bit. Then I got hungry again and decided to have a early dinner. Since we're in JTown why not go to Daikouya for Ramen. Of course this place had a line when we got there. While we were outside waiting, across the street at the Miyako Hotel there were a bunch of biker dudes that were wearing chaps with nothing covering their asses. Strait fuckin gross! Almost lost my appetite. Nonetheless, the wait wasn't too bad, after 15 mins, we got in. We both ordered the Daikokuya Ramen noodles and I also ordered their fried rice. Don't know what it is about their fried rice, but its Dank!

FOOD COMA! The End!

Ari Marcopoulos x Incase

Came home to huge box on the front door step. (GT feeling) Been searching for the right camera bag and there's so many out there. From backpacks, sling bags, pouches, etc... After browsing the net for weeks, found the Ari bag by Incase, and it was a must buy (just different from your traditional camera bags). The bag was sold out everywhere so I called Incase directly to check if they had any but they told me that they are in the process of making more and it will take them at least 4 weeks to ship out. No way I was going to wait that long.  I called over 20 stores that are authorized dealers of incase and got lucky and found a place in New York that had the bag and had to order it right away.  Took about 1 and a half  weeks for it to arrive, but well worth the wait. The bag looks cool and is very convenient. Happy with the purchase. The bag is designed by a famous photographer Ari Macropoulos. Here are some pics and a video.

Grub!

Went to Dip's Grill (first time) with JN, TL and DH and our eyes were bigger than our stomachs. We started off with the Pork Belly Buns, Dip's Sliders, Dip's Rice Paper Rolls, Spam and Egg Sliders (Dank) which 2 of the orders came with fries. Then ordered the Spicy Spaghetti and Mixed Vermicelli Bowl and of course washed it down with a pitcher of beer.(STUFFED) Usually we would finish everything on the table, but we were stuffed to the max! Great food . Here are just some of the pics.

MG x iPad x Ecko x Roxy

Took some pics at Merigroup this morning with my new Canon 50mm prime lens. Getting use to it, but so far great shots. Also, one of our students brought his one year old White Boxer (Ecko) in to Merigroup. (we're dog friendly here) This is my first seeing a white boxer, they're probably super rare. He's super smart and friendly, and also has a cool patch on his eye. Enjoy the pics!

Earthquakes scare the shit out of me!!!

I got this video linked to me from TL and it was actually interesting. Some what terrifying that it might come true and it seems like its just a waiting game now. I guess we just have to be prepared and have a earthquake evacuation plan and have food, water, etc.. ready.  I hope this guy is wrong!
